How To Get Nation ID Card Via NIMC Mobile ID App

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has unveiled a Mobile App for the National Identification Number (NIN) enrollment.

The App provides a secure channel for all Nigerians and legal residents to easily verify and authenticate their identities on-the-go using smartphones. It also enables them to link the NIN to their phone numbers.

To be able to use the app, you need to have enrolled with the NIMC and been assigned a National Identification Number (NIN). If you have not done that, you are not eligible for a National ID card and you will be unable to use the NIMC Mobile ID app.

How to Enroll:

– Enrollment is free.

– You can enroll for the National identification scheme at any branch of the NIMC nationwide.

– OR You can kickstart your enrolment process online by visiting https://penrol.nimc.gov.ng/loginForm.tpl.html.php and then head to a center for completion.

How to check your Digital ID number with the NIMC Digital ID App

– Download the NIMC mobile ID application on Google Play Store HERE, App Store HERE.

– Enter your National Identity Number (NIN).

– If you do not remember your NIN, dial *346# from the phone line you registered during registration.

– The app will display your national identity card, which includes your digital ID number.
