Kemi Afolabi took to social media to shares the good news with her fans, she said as a filmmaker, she always wants to tell good stories and put out the best contents.

Sharing as she receive the awards, Kemi Afolabi wrote:

MODORISA won the best indigenous movie💃🏽 I missed the event but eventually picked up my plaque as it is recognition for my craft👏👏👏

As a filmmaker, I always want to tell good stories and put out the best contents.
Over the years, you would understand the level of passion and commitment I put into my work. It is this same passion that gave birth to Modorisa (All Female cast)indigenous movie, when Modorisa was released to cinemas across Nigeria, we struggled with its acceptance because it was a first of its kind, eventually it recorded huge success💪

This recognition from @citypeoplemovieawards as the best indigenous movie really means a lot to me, the cast and crew that gave their all to bringing this movie into life, it is a reward for our passion, hardwork, commitment and sleepless nights.
