The Lagos State Police Command has reacted to a viral video on social media showing the Chairman of Lagos State Park Management, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, allegedly threatening Igbos and other ethnic groups to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during 2023 presidential election.

In a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police stated that the video will be investigated to know if it’s an old, recycled one or not but the act is against Electoral Act, 2022.

The statement reads in part, “While the video will be investigated to know if it’s an old, recycled one or not, it should be noted that this is criminal and totally against the Electoral Act, 2022. Violators will be prosecuted.”

Recalls that has been allegedly caught in a viral video threatening to deal with any Igbo person who goes to a particular polling unit to vote.

Though the PU was not specified, commenters on the video say the incident happened somewhere in the Oshodi area where MC Oluomo holds sway.
