Oyo chef begins 200-hour cook-a-thon to break world record

In a bid to break a world record and bring glory to Nigeria, a chef from Oyo State Tope Magie has embarked on a remarkable culinary journey—a 200-hour cook-a-thon.
Tope Magie aims to surpass the current world record held by an Irish chef who dethroned Hilda Baci.
Maggie took to social media to officially declare his cooking marathon attempt.
He shared numerous pictures and videos from the cook-a-thon.
According to the details shared on a flyer, Tope’s cooking marathon is unfolding at the Ogbomoso Recreation Club, Ogbomoso.
Tope, as captured in circulating videos, kicked off his audacious attempt on Thursday at 6 pm. Remarkably, at the time of this report, he has already surpassed an impressive 17 hours of continuous cooking.
The accompanying flier indicates that the chef has taken steps to seek the official approval of the Guinness World Records (GWR).
