“We don’t accept bastards”— Mohbad’s father insists DNA test for last singer’s son

The ongoing saga surrounding the tragic death of Nigerian singer Mohbad has taken a new turn as his father insists on a DNA test to establish the paternity of the late singer’s son.

In a controversial statement, Mohbad’s father, whose name is Mr Joseph ALoba, declared that demanded that the DNA test be conducted in his presence.

In his words, n his words: “Concerning the DNA test, it’s a must they do it. Nigerians are demanding for it. I heard rumours that they did it but no matter what, I’m Mohbad’s father so I’ll give consent on the DNA test or send anyone who can represent me during the test if I’m not there to know how they’ll do it. And even when they want to do it, it should be done in two different places so we can be very sure and know the truth.

“Also, where I am from in Ikere Ekiti, even Olu Ikere just left my side now after paying me a visit. We don’t accept bastards where I’m from, but it will be a thing of joy for me if this child is Mohbad’s because this is the only child he said he left for me. Three days before his death, I was with him, he even served me food and he put Liam on my hands and he was taking pictures.

“So I’ll be very happy if Liam is Mohbad’s son because I love the child. But if it turns out that Liam is not his son, it won’t be good if we don’t find out now because of the future so that even late Mohbad shouldn’t be blaming me that I accepted something like this in. So the DNA is very necessary.”

We reported earlier that, Iyabo Ojo gives an update on the case of late Afrobeats singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Recall that Iyabo Ojo has been at the forefront of the call for justice for Mohbad by investing both time and effort in the ongoing case.

She has, however, made an update via her Instagram post on the latest development of the Mohbads case and revealed how the police have interrogated the wife of Mohbad three consecutive times.

She also use the moment to gives update on Dj Splash, stating that, he has been discharged from the hospital and he is recovering very fast.

She also reveals that, very soon, Dj Splash will write his own statement and address the general public.

She wrote, “Update on Mohbad’s case: The case has been transferred to the Directorate of Public Prosecution, Ministry of Justice, while the police say they are still waiting on the toxicology results. Mohbad’s remains have not yet been released.

Also, Mohbad’s wife has been interrogated three times to the best of my knowledge. Two out of the three times was the day you all saw Mohbad’s dad televised by the police in which they addressed the public on Mohbad’s case. Later that same day, Mohbad’s dad, mom, and wife were sent to Panti for interrogation and to write their statement. Another day Mohbad’s wife was interrogated was September 21, 2023. reason why Tonto and Sentor Ishaku Abbo met her absences.
